City of Lauderhill Aims to be the Fittest City in Broward County
The City Has Teamed with Glad Health and Fitness to Offer Residents Group Exercise at Veterans Park
Lauderhill, FL – Glad Health & Fitness, Inc. (GHF) and the City of Lauderhill have announced morning group exercise classes will be available to Lauderhill residents of all ages and fitness levels starting April 26, 9 a.m. – Noon., Mon.-Fri. at Veterans Park, 7600 NW 50th Street.
With his background in personal training at non-profit organizations and large gym franchises, GHF CEO and Founder, Gladimir “Glad” Simeon, saw the need to provide quality fitness programs to underserved groups, like senior citizens, not likely to join a gym. “I commend the city for seeing the opportunity in providing residents with fitness programs that were affordable, challenging and fun,” Simeon said. He went onto say that the programs are a win-win for everyone. “Not only will there be great health benefits, but residents will get to meet one another, possibly make new friends, add to their network or just get to work outside in nature at a nice park.”
There will be two types of morning exercise groups for residents and another for senior residents. For Lauderhill residents group classes start with Zumba at 9:00 a.m., Body Tone at 11:00 a.m. and Yoga at 11:00 a.m. For senior Lauderhill residents classes start with Zumba Gold at 9:00 a.m., Senior Body Tone at 10:00 a.m. and Tai Chi at 11:00 a.m.
To register for classes starting April 26, call Glad Health & Fitness Inc. at 954-245-7911.
